Today, Wednesday 8th July 2020, in a very positive move, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced a Stamp Duty Land Tax threshold increase from £125,000 to £500,000 until 31st March 2021. This is a major boost for the Property Industry over the next 9 months, meaning that houses purchased under £500,000 will not incur Stamp Duty Land Tax unless they are bought as an investment.

For First-Time buyers and many people looking for their 2nd or even 3rd home, this is very welcome news.
