Lex Allan Grove Village in Hagley has recently started supporting Computers for Schools by donating part of every completion fee to the charity.

Computers for Schools was established by Stephen Brown in memory of his inspirational Wife, Sam, who was a Nursery School Assistant and School Reading Assistant. Just before Sam passed, Stephen set-up a GoFundMe page (gf.me/u/zfwmbr) for Laptops for Home Schooling after listening to a debate in Parliament about how many of our future generation in the UK were struggling to learn.

The charity has now raised over £118,000 and 842 laptops/tablets and 12 dongles have been supplied to schools nationwide. It is Stephen’s aim to raise over £200,000 and help provide learning opportunities for many more disadvantaged children nationwide.

Lex Allan Grove’s donations have resulted in 7 brand new laptops being supplied to local school, Clent Parochial Primary School. The Headteacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Hyland commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have received laptops from local estate agent, Lex Allan Grove. Clent Parochial Primary School is a small village school with a big heart within a great community.

As part of the school's progressive computing curriculum it has been saving for some time to enable a strong investment to be made in cutting-edge technology. Unfortunately, this investment was thwarted when it became clear that the school toilet facilities needed urgent repair requiring funds to be redirected.

With the support of Lex Allan Grove and their strong community links, computers have now been donated and pupils and staff at the school are so grateful.

Thank you Dean and Callum for all you have done.”
